ProHealth Care an International Leader in Concussion Research 

ProHealth Care's Neuroscience Center is setting the standard of care for people with concussion.  In fact, experts from the Neuroscience Center are leading international research efforts and an educational initiative to help athletes, parents and coaches to better prevent, recognize and manage concussion.

The educational initiative explains the new international guidelines known as the Zurich Consensus Statement on Concussion in Sport to parents, athletes and coaches. These guidelines for the treatment of sports-related concussion detail:

• Recognizing the signs and symptoms of concussion
• Sideline assessment tools for diagnosis.
• Return-to-play issues for the injured athlete - from recreational to school sports to professional.

Portions of the sideline assessment tool, referred to as the SCAT2 card (Sports Concussion Assessment Tool) were developed by ProHealth Care Neuroscience Center neuropsychologists and adopted by the international sports medicine community.
